The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph, who confirmed the development to The Hope Metro described the exercise as a normal thing meant to  bring better performance, especially in the areas of crime prevention, detection and control in the society.

He stated that  the whole essence is to effectively tackle various crimes and criminality happening at the moment.

His words” Yes, the ongoing transfer in the force is a routine business and it’s not targeted at any state command.

“Some of our men are on  transfer and their replacements have also arrived to assume their respective duty posts. The exercise is a continuous one and it is to enhance better performances among officers and men.

“This transfer could also be liken to the fact that some of them affected in the exercise have spent above  five years in a particular state and there is need for them to have a taste of another state as police duty is the same every where, “he stated.
