The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State has said that the ravages caused by insurgents in the northern part of the country can be put to an end if every political party and Nigerians rise to the responsibility of waging war against the menace.
The party noted that insecurity in the country is not only the responsibility of one party or administration but the affair of everyone.
The State Director of Media and Publicity of the party, Mr. Steve Otaloro, stated this during a radio programme in Akure, the State capital.
According to him, it is incumbent on every political party and Nigerians to see insecurity as a threat to lives and the peace of the nation.
His words” Boko haram does not kill by party or religion affiliation but they just want to destroy and create mayhem. We must come together and see it as a fight we must win.
“All Nigerians must see it as a priority by giving necessary information to security agencies and bodies involved to wage war against this challenge”.
He advised the Federal Government to improve on welfare of security men.
He was of the opinion that the call for the sack of service chiefs in order to improve the security system of the country was not essential.
