A political leader in Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government area of Ondo State, Ogundare Kamoru Gbenga has cried out over threats to his life and family over political differences in Ondo State.
This is just as he call on the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police, and the Department of State Service, DSS to wade in and save him and his family.

While narrating his experience with some unknown assailants, Ogundare who is the Personal Assistant to an aspirant during the 2023 general election said it began on May 17, 2022, during the People’s Democratic Party, PDP primary election in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
The victim said eight aspirants contested in the election and his candidate and boss Timothy Olatunji Fielder emerged as the winner.

He noted that as the Personal Assistant on Politics and Strategies to Timothy Olatunji Fielder, all eyes were on him as the brain behind their defeat.
“Since then, other aspirants that lost in the primary election were after my life till after the election which came to an end around 1:30 am.

“The presence of policemen at the scene prevented hoodlums brought by other aspirants to lynch me at the venue.”
According to him, the hoodlums were armed with local pistols, cutlasses, and other dangerous weapons to attack him.

“After the election, I thought that was the end but the daredevils did not desist from threatening my life and my entire family.
“In May 29, 2023, while I was traveling from Okeigbo to Akure in my Camry car, I suddenly spotted three men between Aponmu and Olokuta area of Akure on a motorcycle from my rear mirror.
“They crossed my path and pointed pistols at me while in motion which led to running inside the bush with my car.
“Fear gripped me and was shocked by the injuries sustained from the accident. It was passersby who rescued and rushed me to Oludare Hospital, Fanibi Akure.”
Ogundare said the hoodlums went further to set his house ablaze hoping that he was at home on the day they perpetrated their dastard act but was saved by whisker.
He stated that his statement was taken by police at the hospital bed and since then, he said he has not been living a peaceful and simple life due to several threats from unknown attackers.
“I have been moving from one place to another sleeping and hiding in different places for the safety of my life, while my family abandoned me over the house I built with my hard-earned income.
“I am appealing to the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police, Director of State Security Service to please come to my rescue in order not to allow these attackers to take my life and that of my children untimely,” he stated.
