The Ondo State Government has rescheduled the Work-Free Day earlier granted public servants in the state today to next week Friday
The holiday earlier approved for the workers in the state was to enable them participate in the coming election.
This followed the postponement of the Governorship and State Assemblies elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to a statement from the office of the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, the Work-Free Day earlier fixed for today will now be observed next Friday, March 17, as INEC has rescheduled the election for Saturday, March 18, as against Saturday 11th earlier fixed.
Pastor Ogundele said the holiday is in recognition of the need for some officers to travel to areas where they registered to vote.
