Controversial street-pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, on Saturday night defeated fellow entertainer, Speed Darlington, in a much-anticipated celebrity boxing match tagged ‘Chaos in the Rings’, held at the Balmoral Events Centre, Lagos.

The match, which had drawn attention from fans and celebrities alike, ended abruptly after Speed Darlington failed to return for the second round, following an arm injury he sustained during the first round of the bout.

Organisers confirmed that Speed Darlington broke his arm in the heat of the first round, forcing him to pull out of the contest and handing victory to Portable by default.

The celebrity match was the climax of a feud that began months earlier when Speed Darlington reportedly offered Portable a sum of N500,000 to perform at his upcoming show.

Portable rejected the offer, describing it as insulting and below his standard, which eventually escalated the tension between the two.

Saturday’s bout marked Portable’s second major victory in the celebrity boxing scene. It comes barely four months after the singer defeated Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, in another high-profile match.

Videos from the event have since gone viral on social media, with fans praising Portable’s aggression and showmanship in the ring.
