The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has celebrated the posthumous 68th birthday of the former Governor of the state and ex-president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He passed away on December 27 last year after a prolonged illness.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr.Alex Kalejaye

The APC chapter highlighted some of Akeredolu’s significant achievements, such as the creation of the Amotekun Security Network to protect residents, his industrialization efforts, and infrastructure projects like the ongoing flyover bridge in Akure and the completed interchange in Ore, which have improved traffic flow and reduced accidents.

Akeredolu was also credited with the first dualized road in Akoko land and the removal of the dangerous Oke Alabojuto hill, improving road safety.

His administration addressed unpaid salaries, reduced unemployment, and made substantial contributions to health, education, and road construction.

Additionally, Akeredolu served as Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum and was an advocate for justice, fair play, and true democracy. The Ondo APC chapter and his admirers celebrated his legacy and pray for his continued rest.
