The Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has asked pilgrims to this year’s Hajj from Owo to pray for the town during the pilgrimage, most especially when the kingdom is going through security challenges.
Oba Ogunoye made this request, when the pilgrims called to pay homage to him before their departure for Mecca and Medina to perform the holy pilgrimage.
The Olowo particularly requested for prayers for the perpetrators of the horrendous killings to be caught and brought to justice as he bid them farewell.
He reminded them to be good ambassadors of the country and Owo Kingdom and refrain from all acts capable of damaging the image of Nigeria.
Similarly, asked to ask always hold on to the tenets of Islam and the cord of Allah in all what they do during and after the pilgrimage.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Owo who also doubles as the Chairman, League of Imams and Alfas in Ondo State, Sheikh Ahmad Aladesawe who introduced the pilgrims to the monarch led them in prayers for the monarch, Owo Kingdom, the victims of the Owo Catholic Church attack.
Aladesawe also called on God to expose the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
