The Nigerian Institute of Building has been urged to prioritize their standard in order to rid the profession from quackery.
Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye gave the advice during a courtesy visit by the Executive of Nigerian Institute of Building to his office.
Owoeye blamed the incessant buildings collapse to quackery and substandard materials which according to him is inimical to a smart society.
He advised and encouraged the institute members and executive to set a mechanism that will restore the confidence of their services in the populace.
Owoeye said the mechanism would change the enormous notion of the public against their profession.
The speaker again restated the importance of ensuring sanity and identify unqualified individual in the profession so that people will appreciate the services of the Nigerian Institute of Building.
