In 2021, the percentages of women entrepreneur was 39.9% of all businesses, compared to 60% of businesses created by men.  This percentages of women who owned business ranging from start-ups to large industries has been relatively consistent since 1996, the rate of women entrepreneur seen in the World has showed great increase on our nation’s economy.

Then there is need to intensify more on women entrepreneurial education.  Most times the women get out of their ways to ensure they embark on business; it is expected of the government to look into this and create additional openings/avenue for financial assistance towards raising more women entrepreneur.   Majority of women are willing to be educated and as well be empowered but the high rate of interest on the capital scared most of them, thereby they preferred to trade with little or nothing and at the end of a period they are unable to break even.

Thanks to some Microfinance banks cum government parastatals designated for such purpose who took it upon themselves to see that women are empowered for the eradication of poverty in our society and to boost the nation’s economy, rather than seeing women as mere children production factory.

The Production of tablet soap is another lucrative business, having ready market for it with little or no supervision any woman can venture into this type of skill/business, acquiring the skill is very simple and highly profitable, the production of tablet soaps which ranges from bathing soap of different types (like antiseptic  or ordinary) and shapes, colour, washing soap and are needed for keeping household utensils and instruments clean. 

Thelocal/traditional soap popular called Soda serves many purposes, and its still in vogue, this was transformed/upgraded into tablet soap, they are in handy packs, most of this are made with natural ingredients.  It is a daily need as it maintained the hygiene of our body and cloths.  Its appearance is unique.  In the preparation of tablet soap, one need to be on safety wears, goggles for the protection of the eyes, hand gloves etc., just to prevent your body from any accidental spill of chemicals.

Steps in making tablet soap

Ingredients/equipments:  water, causitic soda, soda ash, sodium sulphate, perfume, PK.O (Palm kernel oil), colouring, bowls/plastic buckets, measuring scale, hand gloves,nylon for packaging or customized packaging, turning stick, moulds for the shapes etc.

It expected that the items above (soda ash, sodium sulphate and caustic soda) be soaked in a different bowls of water for at least 3 days, then heat the PK.Oto make it warm, pour it in a large bowl  for mixing.  The soaked solutions are added into the PK.O and begin to stir, you add your preferred colour, perfume and stir again until it turns thick or pap-like solution, pour it inside the moulds (for shapes) that has been lined with nylon for easy removal when its solidifies/strong, keep in cool place.   The start-up of this business can be between N10,000.00 – N25,000.00 and can be increased as the market trends.
