Promote music in right way, artistes charged

A Nigerian gospel musician, Evang Lady Catechist, Felicia Akinwumi, has urged upcoming artistes to be serious with their work and promote music in the right ways.
She said that her aim is to bring God nearer to people through her music and to make heaven at the end of her race on earth.
The artiste during an interview with Friday Extravaganza, said that she started singing as a chorister in her church at her teenager and was able to produced one album since when she has been singing.
Felicia Akinwumi who hails from Akure South Local government, Ondo State, noted that she has been singing professionally for 18 years.
According to her, the love and passion she has for music made her to achieve her goal.
The artiste stated that the ideas and inspiration began from the church she was attending then and her talent came from God.
She noted that Holy Spirit determined the hours she spent during her ministration, saying that God is her source of inspiration to compose a song.
The artiste who is a graduate of Social Studies from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, noted that many challenges faced her but she survived them.
“I’m always excited when I sing or listen to music that bless soul, because I cannot do without music, it has became part of me.”
She mentioned her mentor in music industry to include Dr Bola Are, saying she admire the way she sing.
In her words, she will surely support any of her children that wish to dabble into music.
