From Kayode Afolabi,Ore

The recent provision of modern fire-fighting vehicles and equipment to the Ore Fire Service Station by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has continued to generate widespread commendation from residents and local authorities in Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State.

Residents expressed their appreciation following the swift response of the fire service to a recent tanker accident at the Ore flyover, which could have led to a major disaster. Thanks to the newly provided equipment, the firefighters were able to contain the spill of highly flammable contents before it escalated.

Niyi Ade, a local transport driver, praised the intervention: “The firefighters truly averted a potential tragedy. The equipment provided by the governor has made a real impact on emergency response in Ore.”

Similarly, a trader popularly known as Mama Gold said, “Without the quick response from the firefighters, the incident could have ended in disaster. Governor Aiyedatiwa’s effort to strengthen fire safety in our local government is commendable.”

Speaking on the development, the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Taiwo Adegoroye, described the provision as a life-saving initiative that reflects the governor’s commitment to the safety of lives and property.

In the same vein, the council chairman has reaffirmed his commitment to providing infrastructural development in the area.

He made this known while hosting officials of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) at his office recently.

Adegoroye, while commending the commission for its exceptional commitment to the growth and development of the council area, assured residents of continued infrastructural improvements.

“I am assuring residents of more infrastructural developments in this council area,” he said.
