The State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the association, Mr. Nasirudeen Oladele, made the appeal in an interview with The Hope.

He explained that the brailleguide and the indication forms among others to cast votes and record number of PWD during the elections should be made available in all polling units.

This, he said will give impaired members opportunity to exercise their franchises.

According to him, “In the previous elections most members do not have access to brailleguide to exercise their franchises.

“Brailleguide is a material that will let members know actual party and candidate of their choice without interference or support of anyone during election,”

Oladele stressed the need to engage the service of experts to work on the brailleguide before election days in order to ascertain their effectiveness and usefulness for the purpose they are meant for.

The spokesperson of the association, who commended INEC for doing the needful in the distribution of Permanent Voter’s Cards to registered voters called on members of the association who are yet to collect theirs to approach the local government offices of the Commission for collection.
