PWDs advocate for more employments

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has expressed his administration’s commitment to increasing the employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities within the state’s civil service.

This declaration came during a courtesy visit from the representatives of the disability community at the Governor’s Office in Alagbaka Akure.

Governor Aiyedatiwa acknowledged the solidarity and condolences extended by persons with disabilities following the passing of former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He revealed that his administration had already employed thirty-five individuals with disabilities, stressing their value and potential contributions to the workforce.

Chairman of the Agency for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities in Ondo State, Princess Folasade Arise, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his support thus far while also advocating for increased assistance to accommodate more members of the disability community.
