Quarter-finalists emerge at 2024 Zenith Bank/Delta headmasters’ cup

Morka Primary School, Obiaruku, representing Ukwuani, and representatives from seven other Local Government Areas have qualified for the quarter-final stage of the ongoing Zenith Bank/Delta Headmasters’ Cup Football Competition.
The other seven teams apart from Ukwuani are Bomadi, Udu, Warri South West, Aniocha South, Ika North-East, Okpe, and Warri South.
To qualify for the quarter-finals from Zone C, Morka Primary School, Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area, defeated their opponent, Okporo Primary School, Enwhe, Isoko South LGA, 4-2 on penalties after regular time ended 0-0. Meanwhile, Ika North-East thrashed Oshimili South 3-0 in Zone B to book a place in the quarter-finals.
In the Zone A final match, played at Ogbe-Otu Primary School, Issele-Uku, Ani-Nshi Primary School, Ogwuashi-Uku, Aniocha South, defeated Obika Primary School, Agbor, 4-3 on penalties.
In Zone H, Warri South emerged as the winner by narrowly beating their hard-fighting opponent, Uvwie, 3-2. In Zone F, Ometan Primary School, Ughoton, representing Okpe, advanced to the quarter-final stage after defeating Ekrokpe Primary School, Ughelli South, 7-0. Zone D’s match between Johannah Model School, Udu, and Destiny Academy, Ughelli North, was a walkover for Udu as their opponent arrived nearly two hours late.
Similarly, in Zone E, Warri South West defeated Team Sapele 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time, while Aniocha South triumphed in Zone A, and Bomadi topped Zone G.
