A House of Representatives member-elect, representing Ose/Owo Federal Constituency, Otunba Timehin Adelegbe has urged muslims to continue to promote peaceful co-existence, love and tolerance beyond the Ramadan period.

Adelegbe made this known in Akure while felicitating with muslim brothers and sisters for witnessing another Ramadan

In a statement issued by his Media aide, Wale Akingbade, Adelegbe noted that meaningful development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour and acrimony.

He appealed to all muslim faithful to continue to embrace love and tolerance so that the Country can witness  rapid growth and development as intended by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“I urge you all to live in peace with one another and imbibe the spirit of tolerance for the progress of this country, as no meaningful development can take place in a crisis-filled society.”

“Islam, as stated in the Holy Qur’an is a religion of peace that upholds the values of love for one another and peaceful co-existence.”

“I therefore celebrate all muslim faithful of my Constituency (Ose/Owo), Ondo state and Nigeria at large, as they begin their Ramadan fasting and prayers.

“It is my utmost wish and prayer that the Almighty Allah bless you all with happiness and accept our acts of Ibadah during and after the fast’, he said.

Meanwhile, Otunba Adelegbe has used this Ramadan period to re- assure the people of his Constituency of his readiness to deliver his campaign promises immediately after the swearing-in ceremony next month.

According to him, plans are in top gear to set up a committee for the speedy implementation of all the campaign promises.
