Ramadan: IGP calls for prayers, reflection, national unity

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has extended Ramadan greetings to Muslims across the country, urging them to use this sacred period for deep reflection and fervent prayers for peace, unity, and national progress.

In a statement, the IGP described Ramadan as a time of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and communal solidarity, emphasizing its importance in strengthening faith and fostering societal harmony.

He called for interfaith tolerance and peaceful coexistence, urging religious and community leaders to promote mutual respect and understanding among Nigerians.

The police chief also directed officers nationwide to uphold professionalism and respect the religious practices of Muslim faithful throughout the holy month.

He assured Nigerians that the force remains committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for worshippers.

Egbetokun wished all Muslims a peaceful Ramadan and encouraged Nigerians to embrace the values of love, compassion, and unity that the season represents.
