Again, a Family Court sitting at Oke-Eda, has adjourned till August 31, 2023, for outcome of advice from the Ondo State Ministry of Justice, in a rape case against a footballer, Babajide Folorunso, and Damilola Ayodele, a plumber.

Recall The Hope Metro had reported that Folorunso and Ayodeji, were brought before the Court, for raping a 16-year-old girl  on March  24, 2023 around 5pm at Igisogba Ijoka, Akure.

Folorunso and Ayodele were earlier brought before the Court by officials of Ondo State Ministry of Women Affairs,  for allegedly defiling the victim.

At their arraignment, the prosecutor, Inspector Martins Olowofeso, told the court that the duo conspired to have carnal knowledge of the victim, contrary to Sections 3(1), 516, 3(2c) of the Ondo State Violence Against Persons (Prohibitions ) Law 2021.

Olowofeso told the court that they were awaiting advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), in the Ministry. He, therefore, urged the court to  remand the defendants and adjourn the matter.

At the last sitting, when the medical report was presented, Magistrate C.M. Aduroja ordered the remand of the defendants at Olokuta Correctional Centre, pending advice from the DPP.

She adjourned the case till Thursday August 24, 2023, for outcome of advice.

However, the court did not sit yesterday for some official reasons.
