People of Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, have launched manhunt to track down a 33 -year-old man identified as Seun, for assaulting a five-year-old girl in the community.
The suspect, said to be a serial rapist, it was learnt has been declared wanted by the HRM. Oba Abiodun Adefehinti, The Agbekonrun lI of Ilara Kingdom for molesting the victim..
Investigation revealed that Oba Adefehinti has reportedly sent his palace security men to fish out the man, who had been raping minors in the area.
The Hope Metro gathered that the manhunt has been on since last week the incident occurred.
The monarch told our correspondent that the rapist would be sent out of the community after being arrested.
In a chat with the victim, (names withheld), she told The Hope Metro that the suspect dragged her into his room while she went to play with her friend.
‘Her words, ”When I went to my friend’s mother’s house to play, Uncle Seun dragged me into his room and put me on the bed. He said he was going to have fun with me.
”Brother Seun took off his knicker, and brought out his manhood. He told me he was going to sleep with me that I should not scream.
“I told him to leave me alone. But, he took off my pant and removed his own too. I was telling him to leave me alone, that I will tell my mummy.
”He said I should not tell anyone. After fingering me, he told me my mummy was calling me that I should not say anything to her.
When our correspondent spoke with the mother of the child, who is an hair stylist, she said her daughter usually go to her friend’s house, just three houses from her salon.
She said,”On that fateful day, immediately my husband came to pick me and the children after work, he asked for our daughter as she didn’t join her younger ones to welcome him.
”But as I stepped out to look for her, she was no where to be found. So, I went to a friend’s house which is few houses away from my shop, because she normally goes there to play with a friend of mine.
“A young man called Seun lives in that same house next door to my friend.
”So after shouting my daughter’s name on top of my voice, she came out and I quickly dragged her that her father has arrived and we should be going.
“On our way, she told me Brother Seun touched her private part and she saw his own manhood as well. I quickly drew my husband’s attention to what she said and he made a U turn back to the house.
“We went to the police station to lodged complaint. I was asked to pay N5,000 for test to examine my child. But I told them I did not have the money.
“As at that time, my daughter’s pant was badly torn.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Mr Bolaji Salami has all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the state to move all files of rape cases to the state headquarters.
