Re-distribution of teachers must —Olabimtan

The Chairman, Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Mr.Victor 0labimtan, yesterday, reaffirmed the stand of government to evenly redistribute primary school teachers across the 18 local governments for better service delivery.                            

0labimtan who was responding to questions on a phone-in radio programme in Akure said redistribution of the teachers will help reinvigorating the public schools.              

According to a statement signed by the Media Officer of the Board, Bisi Agboola, Olabimtan said teachers are in excess in some schools whereas there were shortage in some others                               

“We are working towards achieving the standard of having 36 pupils per class to pave way for easy teaching.” Olabimtan said

On the ongoing 2022 National Personnel Audit exercise, Olabimtan said it was a success saying the extension of time with one week will help the exercise more.                             

He commended the cooperation received from the proprietors of private schools for not seeing the exercise as a means for taxation.
