Rehabilitate sports facilities – ex basketballer urges states, fed govt

A former national basketball player, Alabi Adelanwa has challenged federal and state government in the rehabilitation of sports facilities in the country.

Adelanwa stated this in an interview with sports journalists during the ongoing NBBF/TOTAL division ll Atlantic conference at the indoor sports hall of the Akure sports complex.

While applauding the organisers for steady competition, the ex international want government to play its role by erecting modern structures and quick repair of dilapidated ones.

The five days championship has five teams from Ondo, Abia, Enugu, Cross Rivers ,Ogun and Bayelsa states.

In the day two of the game,  Brave heart of Abia defeated Young Royals of Abeokuta by 47-24, while Coal city from Enugu lost to CAMAC of Bayelsa by 23-32.
