Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has set machinery in motion to resettle victims who were rendered homeless as a result of a heavy rainstorm.
The incident which occurred last weekend in Ede, left some residents homeless as it destroyed their belongings.
The Governor raised a combined delegation of the Ministry of Works and Transport led by the Coodinating Director, Olusola Ajao as well as the Osun State Emergency Management Agency (OSEMA) led by its General Manager, Mr Amos Adejinle.
The state delegation which also included the Director of Highways at the Ministry of Works, Basiru Bello visited the scene to ascertain the level of destruction and to ensure that no life was lost.
The victims while narating their experience said they were just lucky that it happened during the day, otherwise lives would have been lost.
They thanked the State government for showing empathy towards their situation through the visit by a State delegation.
Speaking on behalf of the State government, the General Manager, Osun State Emergency Management Agency(OSEMA), Mr Amos Adejinle said the agency will swing into action immediately to make things okay for the victims.
