The leading goal scorer in the ongoing 2024)25 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), Bolaji Olamide, has attributed her excellent run of form to hard work, encouragement from her coach, and the support of her teammates.

Olamide, who has scored five goals for Remo Stars Ladies in four matches this season, told Sporting Hope that the motivation from her coaches and the immense support from her teammates played a crucial role in her current success.

The pacy attacker revealed that her goal at the start of the season was to score for her new club, Remo Stars Ladies, and compete for the league’s highest goal scorer award.

She added that her transition from midfielder to striker during her time at Sunshine Queens was a significant turning point in her career.

She had previously scored four goals as a midfielder for Sunshine Queens during the 2023/24 Nigeria Women’s Football League season before joining Remo Stars Ladies.

“Converting me from midfield to striker has really helped me understand the best positions to take on the field,” she said.

“I love my new role because I want my name to be synonymous with goal-scoring in the elite women’s league.”

Reflecting on her first call-up to the Super Falcons, she described the experience as an eye-opener.

“The national call-up actually boosted my morale this season.

“It really improved my performance and showed me that hard work pays off,” she said.

“It made me realise that the more you excel, the more recognition you receive.

“I have learned that I must not rest on my laurels but continue striving for greatness, working hard to reach the top and stay there.”

She also expressed gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support.

“I appreciate my fans for their encouragement and prayers. I believe this is just the beginning,” she said.

“They should watch out for more from me; the best is yet to come! With the support of my coaches, backroom staff, and teammates, I have faith in my abilities.

“I want my fans to get ready for another exciting season from me”, She assured.
