Reorganize Sportssector, FG, State charged

The federal and state governments have been charged to reorganize the nation’s sporting sector to further enhance its development at the grassroots level.
Former Super Eagles player Coach Edema Fuludu gave the charge while addressing sports stakeholders, school proprietor’s and physical health education instructors during the day one of the annual Blitzik Sports Workshop on Netball in collaboration with community Sports Development Initiative CSED.
The two days Workshop which started with theoretical aspect, questions and answers segment will come to a close today with a practical session, distribution of sporting equipment to selected schools and award of certificates.
Coach Fuludu while expressing hope in the future of Nigeria sports advocated regular training programs, infrastructural development across various stadia in the country as a key to the nations sports growth.
The former Warri wolves football club head coach noted that raw talents, students needed to be exposed early to various sports of their choice to keep them fit, expose them and take them to stardom.
On his part, Director Blitzik Sports, Isaac Afolabi called on parents to encourage their wards to combine sports and education for overall development.
The Sports broadcaster also charged school proprietor’s to at all time have plans for sporting activities and sporting equipment in their schools.
Responding, a Director in the Ondo state ministry of education science and technology Mr Babajide Fawolu while appreciating the organisers of the 2 days Netball training for school physical health teachers assured of a follow up and called for the expansion on the game of netball across schools in Ondo state.
School PH teachers, staff of the Ondo state sports council participated in the day one event while today’s practical session starts by nine o’clock at the Akure sports complex.
