A Human Right Activist, Mrs Iyanuoluwa Adetimelehin has called on the general public to report any parents, guardians and individuals that abuse any child or cause them any pain to the proper authority for necessary action.
Adetimelehin stated this in an interview with The Hope in Ondo, said the report of child abuse had been on top gear in the society either by their guardians or their master whom they were working for.
She said that recently there was a case of a girl that was molested, beating by her master with turning stick which caused her grievous harm on her body.
She said that if such case was reported necessary action would have been taken and such would serve as deterrent to parents and guardians who abused children in any form.
According to her, there was a law binding on all defaulters, noting that a lot of children had lost their destinies and cannot pursue their careers anymore and their turned them to street beggars.
She said children were seen begging for food on a daily basis because they did not have anybody to care for them after they have been treated like nobody by people.
Adetimilehin said that children cannot be patrolling the streets begging for money and food because they have been abused by somebody when they were supposed to be learning in school to become a better person in future.
Adetimilehin, therefore urged to report anyone case of child labour to the authority so that they can do the needful on the matter to save the children and the society from calamity.
