Rivers Angels head coach Tosan Blankson has said Rivers Angels are not desperate to top the league but to qualify for Super Six.
Rivers Angels thrashed Adamawa Queens 6-0 courtesy of goals from Titilayo Aweda, Peace Effiong and Mary Moses.
“Adamawa Queens tried their best not to allow the goals to be more than six.
“Goal scoring is part of the game, people look at us as poor scoring side. We are not a poor scoring side but most of the times,we failed to convert our chances.
“We don’t have anything at stake to top the league,our target is to qualify for Super Six.
“We will work on our attack and communication in our defence.
Rivers Angels are top of group B of NWFL on superior goals difference having tied on points with Bayelsa United.
Meanwhile, the organisers of Nigeria women football league have announced two weeks break.
The first stanza ended Wednesday with matches played in both group A and group B.
Unbeaten Remo Stars Ladies top group A with 19 points while Edo Queens came second with 17 points.
Rivers Angels lead group B on superior goals difference having tied on points with Bayelsa United.
The league will resume back March 19th.
