Rivers United unveil players ahead 2023/2024 season

Rivers United Football Club have signed and unveiled eight new players ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

The Pride of Rivers secured the services of the players from different professional clubs within and outside the shores of the country.

The players include the duo of Asiegbu Shedrack and Akubueze John Uche,  Int’ Fatai Abdullahi, and Adeleke Adekunle, David  Yao Kouassi, Bernard  Antwi Samuel Adom, Echeta Deputy and Ebedebiri Endurance.

The unveiling ceremony which held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt had in attendance Commissioner for Sports in Rivers State, Mr. Chris Green, General Manager of Rivers United, Dr Okey Kpalukwu, Technical Manager Stanley Eguma and members of the Rivers United Supporters Club led by Caretaker Chairman, Mr Otis Asonye.

Kpalukwu,  charged the players to lead the team to glory in both the domestic and continental competitions.

Echeta Deputy, who spoke on why he signed for the Pride of Rivers said, “I signed for Rivers United to win trophies. I have not come here just to play.”

Rivers United will compete for honours in the forthcoming season in the Federation Cup, Nigeria Premier Football League and the CAF Confederations Cup.
