Road infrastructure, panacea to socio-economic devt- Oyetola

The Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has described road infrastructure as instrumental to the socio-economic development of any community.
Oyetola gave the hint while playing host to Ayedaade Traditional Council headed by the Olufi of Gbongan, Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi in his office in Osogbo.
He noted that his administration will not toy with road construction and rehabilitation, but will give priority attention to the most useful ones first.
The governor urged people to pay their taxes and other dues promptly as funds raised would be used to develop the communities.
While reiterating his readiness to flush out illegal miners from the state, he stressed the readiness of the government to raise revenue from mineral resources.
He disclosed that South West governors had concluded plans to pool resources to donate vehicles to assist the police in the patrol of roads.
Earlier, the Olufi of Gbonga, Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi, assured the governor of the support of Ayedaade Traditional Council for his administration.
The monarch advised the governor to seek debt pardon, promising that traditional rulers would lend a helping hand if contacted in that regard.
He added that monarchs could assist in raising the IGR of the state without rocking the boat.
