Rope Skipping Championship: ODSG lauds representatives

The General Manager of Ondo State Sports Council (OSSC)Mr. Henry Babatunde, has commended the representatives of the state Rope Skipping for their ability and show of skills at the just concluded International Rope Skipping Championship.
Babatunde stated this while receiving the Skippers that represented Nigeria at the International Championship held in Korea.
He said: “I must commend the Ondo State Rope Skipping for their efforts to make the country proud at the international level.
“Ondo State government has to show more commitment in developing this sports because it is an avenue to engage the young athletes meaningfully.”
He admonished the team to be more effective and not to relent in moving forward by making Ondo State and Nigeria at large happy with their skills.
The team won five gold, one silver and two bronze medals. The skippers were selected from the Interschool rope skipping championship held last November and comprise of John James of Army Comprehensive High School Akure, Paul Alice of Unique Future Academy Akure and Umoru Praise of CAC Grammar school Akure.
