RTEAN warns against wreckless driving

The Ondo State Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Ore branch has urged its members and motorists to avoid overspeeding and other forms of reckless driving.
In an interview with The Hope Metro in Ore, the General chairman of RTEAN, Golden Chapel branch, Ore, and state Assistant Treasurer, Prince Victor Iluyomade said reckless driving endangered one’s life
According to him, members of RTEAN need to other road users, and obey all traffic regulations and traffic agents.
He said: “Our members, even all the road users, must be careful while driving, so as not to endanger the lives of other road users.
“We should shun hard drugs and all tendencies to be in a haste or trying to intimidate and out-perform other road users without regard to the safety of other drivers.“
Iluyomade, however said that the RTEAN remained a peaceful organization with regards for peace and progress of the state. He appealed to members to always welcome new initiatives that will improve the business.
He also warned motorists of the implications of eating sugary foods before driving.
The chairman pointed out, eating or drinking sugary products lead to tiredness, which could cause the driver to sleep while driving, thereby leading to fatal accidents.
”Drivers may get a boost of energy from sugar and can quickly get tired while on wheel,” he explained.
