RUGIPO approves tuition reduction

The Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) has said the school tuition will be reduced from next academic session.
The cheery news was contained in the circular dated August 16, was signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Mr. Gbenga Ademiluyi. It noted that the tuition will be drastically reduced as the highest fee for HND II students put aboveN80,000.
The circular also stipulated the difference between the payment made by indigene and non-indigene students.
Students who are indigenes of Ondo state in ND I are to pay N70,600 while ND II are to pay N67,100. Also, students in HND I are to pay N77,600 while the finalists are to pay N72,700.
However, those who are not indigenes are to pay higher fees as ND I students are to pay N77,600, ND II students N74,100. HND I students will pay N86,000 while the finalists are to pay N81,100.
It would be recalled that students of the institution recently protested hike in the tuition which led to the closure of the school and the setting up of review committee by the state government.
