RUGIPO inaugurates 2020 NIPOGA LOC

In a bid to host a successful Nigeria Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA) in 2020,the management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, has inaugurated a local organising committee.
The Acting Rector of the Polytechnic , Mr Gani Ogundaisi while inaugurating the 11-man committee, he charged them to organise a befitting event to mark the 40 years anniversary of the institution.
Ogundaisi said part of the mandate of the Committee was to make recommendations on how the Institution can successfully organise the 21st edition of the sport fiesta.
He added further that they should use the event to reposition and promote the good image of the Institution to the world.
He said, “we don’t just want to host the event for hosting sake, we want to host well”.
The Acting rector prayed to God to help the Committee achieve the huge but surmountable task before them. “I am not expecting anything than the very best”.
Responding on behalf of the Committee, the Chairman of the LOC, Mr Samuel Alagha thanked the Management for the privilege giving to them to serve in this capacity and for the cream of people he appointed into the Committee.
He promised not to let the Management down, saying he would use the experience garnered in many years of attending NIPOGA as Coach and participant to ensure that the Committee does not fail in the onerous task to organise a successful sport fiesta to the glory of God and benefit of mankind.
