RUGIPO reopens for academic activities

The Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, (RUGIPO), has been reopened for academic activities to conclude the first semester, 2018/2019 academic session.

Consequently, all students are enjoined to resume back to school on Saturday July 6,2019 as examinations will commence on Monday July 8, 2019.

According to a statement issued and signed by the Director, Public Relations and Protocol, Yemi Suleeman “The management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo wishes to inform all students and the entire Polytechnic Community that the institution has been re-opened for academic activities ” .

“In a circular signed by the Administrative Assistant to Rector Mr Joseph Ilugbami, Management also wishes to inform all members of staff that the Governing Council has directed that the student Appointment and Promotion Committee (A&PC) for Teaching staff should meet on Tuesday 2,2019 while the (A&PC) for Non-Teaching staff should sit on Wednesday, July 3,2019 to consider the 2017 promotion and of staff in senior cadre.

“In the same vein, the junior staff committee would also meet on Friday July 5, 2019 to consider promotion of staff in junior cadre” the statement read in part.

Meanwhile, in a bid to address some pressing issues representatives of the Governing Council, members of Board of studies and all Directors of Directorate in the institution have been invited for an interactive session on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Adekunle Ajasin auditorium by 1:00pm.

The statement advised the Polytechnic Community and all stakeholders to comply accordingly.
