The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State and its candidate in the disputed election, Senator Ademola Adeleke have been commended for shunning violence and other illegitimate acts while going through legitimate means to seek clarifications over the election.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi gave the commendation while congratulating Governor Gboyega Oyetola over his victory at the Supreme Court.

Ooni while stressing the need for politicians to emulate their gesture and remain peaceful in their conduct noted that it is heartwarming to see the PDP and its candidate conduct themselves in a peaceful way.

“Politicians must be seen to be peace loving and should always act legally on matters of political interest irrespective of party differences.

“No one is a loser, we are all owners of the state and we deserve all the best.

“The judgement is not about the Peoples Democratic Party or the All Progressives Congress, it is about us as a people of the same family and our unborn generations.

The monarch called on Nigerians, especially Osun indigenes and residents, to accept the ruling regardless of their political biases and focus on the development of the state.

He urged on the people of the state to fully support Oyetola in order to move the state forward adding that the governor must now focus on governance.

Ogunwusi who described the Supreme Court ruling as the will of the Almighty God said they must all join hands with the governor and his team to move the state forward with a view to giving Osun the vision of their founding fathers.
