As part of activities marking the 2019 Saint Anthony’s week, the Saint Anthony’s Society of Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church has donated plastic chairs and Discus to both male and female students of the School for Hearing Impaired, Akure.
President of the society, Mr William Akin Oladapo, while presenting the gifts to the Vice Principal of the school at the school premises said it was part of their week long programme which included spiritual talk, mass distribution of saint Anthony’s bread, health talk among other events .
Oladapo averred that his society always set a day aside from the one week events to identify with the less privileged in the society.
“We have visited Motherless Babies Home, Ago Ireti, and Old People’s home at Ondo in the previous years, so we decided that we should visit and identify with the hearing impaired school this year”.
While appreciating the society for their gesture, the Principal of the school, Mr Michael Dada Ologbese who was represented by the Vice Principal, Mrs Agbede Motunrayo said “the school is blessed with the kind gesture of the society”.
