Schools Racket Games: Fiwasaye Principal lauds Tiamiyu, to build Badminton court

In a bid to support sports at the grassroots, the Management of Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School,Akure has mapped out a plan to build Badminton court for the school.
The principal of the school, Mrs Omobola Temitope Ojoge stated this while receiving one of her students , Salawat Tiamiyu ,who won gold medal for Ondo State at the just concluded National School Racket Games held in Lagos with other staffs.
Mrs Ojoge said, “we will continue to encourage students participation in sports by building Multipurpose Badminton court in the school, the court will accommodate basketball, lawn Tennis, Volleyball and other games.
“The essence of building the court is to encourage the students and bring sports more closer to them and it will allow other students to showcase their talents.
“I’m very happy for Tiamiyu for winning gold medal for the state in Badminton, we are going to celebrate her in a big form, when the school resumes next season in the presence of her colleagues.”
“I’m a lover of sports, by the grace of God next term, we are going to build a Badminton court for the students, we will continue to encourage the students in anyways we can for them to be great,” she said.
She advised parents to encourage their children to participate in sports adding that sporting activities sharpen students brain.
The gold medalist, Salawat Tiamiyu expressed gladness for winning the medal and promised to continue training to maintain the tempo ahead of the National Youth Games slated for Ilorin.
“I will keep training to do better, people of the state should expect a better outing from me and others at the 6th National Youth Games next month,” she said.
