SCMA celebrates 50th anniversary, charges Nigerians on love

Nigerians have been urged to love one another as demonstrated by Jesus Christ, describing it as the only antidote to present challenges confronting the nation.
The General Overseer of Salvation of Christ Mission Assembly (SCMA) Worldwide, Pastor Peter Olaniyan gave the advice at a press briefing to mark the 50th anniversary celebration of the church in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
He said love is God which must be radiated all round and be reflected upon to bring back the lost glory of the nation.
Pastor Olaniyan expressed satisfaction that the church has achieved the vision of raising leaders, shaping vision and influencing the society through Christ as it has reached out to help people realise their visions.
He reeled out the anniversary programmes to include; the Esther Badejoko under 15 community football competition, a joint service for testimony and communion to hold at the church Headquarters, Oke ijebu, Akure yesterday, and a visit to orphanage today Monday, less privileged and charity home and a Thanksgiving and Ordination Service to hold on Tuesday November 16, at the Salvation of Christ Mission Assembly, Oluwagbamilowoiya International prayer ground by 9.00am.
The celebration will also feature the annual interdenominational prayer programme titled Arise Akure with the purpose of releasing the kingdom of God to the city on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th at Democracy Park by 4pm.
Pastor Olaniyan hinted, that the theme of this year’s anniversary is; “Akure and God’s Purpose” where Bishop Felix Adejumo, Bishop JK Opayinka, Prophet Mayowa Owoyemo and host of many other ministers, will minister while the gospel music concert of the church will hold on Friday , November 19 at the SCMA prayer ground.
The programme would however, be crowned with presentation of awards to some dignitaries who have added value to the society on Saturday 20th at The Dome at 10am prompt.
In separate interviews, Pastor Adewole Emmanuel, Pastor Aladura Ajisafe James and Pastor Mrs Bolanle Olaniyan described the founder, Apostle Esther Badejoko Oluwagbamilowoiya as an angel, unbiased and a real gem, a woman of faith and wisdom who has passion for everybody.
Pastor Christopher Oso and Pastor Roland Ojo who also spoke in an interview, said Mama has touched over 99 percent homes and has impacted on over 150 societies whose core value of excellent attitude and holy spirit has became core values of the church.
