It was a momentous and joyous occasion as the Salvation of Christ Mission Assembly Worldwide (SCMA) inducted Prophetess Aanuolowapo Olorunsola as its President.

The induction service held on Saturday at the church prayer ground in Akure, the Ondo State capital, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Church as it filled the vacant position since the demise of the founder, Apostle Esther Badejoko Oluwagbamilowoiya.

The induction service held with the 70th Founder’s Anniversary of the church, was attended by Ministers of God, church members and other dignitaries from all walks of life.

The Church Council, led by the Assistant General Overseer, Pastor J.A. Orimoloye administered the oath of allegiance and office to Olorunsola as the SCMA President as she was reminded of the great responsibilities ahead of her, which she sincerely accepted.

Performing the Apostolic Induction, General Overseer of the Reconciliation and Liberty Bible Church, Evangelist Adewale Adeleye, explained that SCMA carried an uncommon grace to see one of the children of the founder, Mama Badejoko to be anointed as the President.

Earlier in his sermon,  renowned Evangelist Matthew Salako while speaking on the theme, ‘What Happened before Conquering Goliath’, said the  Lord does not use a lazy person for His work and that anointing must come first before someone could conquer the giant in his life.

“David was the most hardworking out of the sons of Jesse and he was anointed before he could conquer the giant”, he added.

The clergyman stressed that the Lord has chosen anointed  Prophetess Olorunsola for the church and He has chosen right.

In her remark, Prophetess Olorunsola said the service is the fulfillment of a long prophecy and God’s ordinances for her as the Lord has chosen her.

The President thanked the members of the church for believing in her, just as she attributed all her successes to God and her husband who has been encouraging her.

She solicited for the support of all members of the church home and abroad to be able to accomplish the vision of the church.

Olorunsola said the position is to unite all and sundry in salvation and to ensure that the doctrine of Christ, holiness, and exemplary Christian life laid down is sustained.

She promised that there would be persistent capacity building for the workforce of the ministry, to make them  perfect vessels of honour.

Speaking with The Hope, the church General Evangelist, Pastor Emmanuel  Adewole said the President has been chosen as the vessel of God right from time, as she is a covenant child.

He said Olorunsola’s commitment to the work of God has made the church accepted her, saying that with her as the President of SCMA, the church is going higher.
