Security: Deeper Life Bible Church rates Akeredolu high

The Governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has called on the religious leaders to intensify prayers for his administration particularly as government is determined and working tireless to curb all forms of crimes and criminality across the state.
Akeredolu specifically said his administration is irrevocably committed to securing and protecting the lives and property of all the law-abiding residents of the state.
He stated on Tuesday while playing host to the State Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Asubiojo Jacob and his team who were on a courtesy visit to the Governor.
During the visit, Pastor Asubiojo Jacob lauded the Governor for his leading roles and efforts aimed at securing the people of the state and the South-West region.
The Governor, who reiterated the ban on Open Grazing in the state, added that the development was not targeted at anybody but aimed at protecting the lives and properties of the citizenry including farmers and their farmlands.
According to him, as a government, he owes it a duty to protect the lives and properties of the citizens he is sworn in to protect, saying fear is not meant for man and that only ghost runs, but a man must stand.
The Governor who revealed that some people were not happy with the Anti-Open Grazing Law in the state and they were planing evil, however, called on the religious leaders to intensify their prayers for his administration, saying no evil plan would materialise on the state.
“Your prayers are very important to us, so pray for us. We will not let down our guard”, the Governor said.
The Governor also disclosed that the state government is partnering with the Association of Food and Agricultural Organisation ( FAO) to train herders on feedlot.
He said the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria in the state is ready to cooperate with his administration on the ban on open grazing.
He promised to continue to beef up the security across the state and make it unsafe for criminals, noting that Amotekun Corps was established to complement other security agencies for the safety of all
He used the occasion to commend Amotekun Corps for its outstanding performance in improving and boosting the security architecture across the state, adding that many victims have been rescued from their abductors in the recent times.
Akeredolu congratulated the General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi on his 80th birthday anniversary and Book launch coming up this Friday.
Earlier, the State Overseer, Pastor Asubiojo Jacob lauded the Governor for his efforts aimed at securing the people of the state and the South-West region.
Pastor Jacob commended Akeredolu for his leading roles in ensuring the security of lives and properties of the residents, saying Ondo state remains the best and most peaceful state in the country due to the courage and determination of the Governor and the government of the state.
He equally commended the Governor for his infrastructure strides across the state which have improved the socioeconomic condition in the state.
The visit also witnessed prayers for the Governor, his family, the state and nation at large.
