Senator Ipinsagba provides free medical care to over 6,000 in Ondo North

Over six thousand constituents have benefited from the free medical outreach facilitated by the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba.
The outreach, conducted across the senatorial district in Ikare-Akoko, Oka-Akoko, and Owo, targeted residents in the six local government areas experiencing health challenges.
Speaking on behalf of Senator Jide Ipinsagba, one of his legislative aides and a former lawmaker in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olusola Aladetimehin, stated that the initiative aligns with the senator’s election promises to ensure the people of Ondo North Senatorial District benefit from democratic governance.
The free medical outreach, organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Conclusion General Services Limited, covered various medical services, including ophthalmological care, eye surgeries, treatment, and the provision of free drugs and reading glasses.
Justifying the initiative, Senator Ipinsagba emphasised the importance of good health for the residents of Ondo North Senatorial District.
In the past year and a half of his tenure, he has organised multiple medical outreaches across the six local government areas.
In his words: “I will continue to ensure my constituents have access to what belongs to them from the National Assembly, complementing the efforts of the Ondo State Government under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in developing the state.
“Under my representation, Ondo North Senatorial District will not be left out of the dividends of democracy.”
Senator Ipinsagba commended the strong turnout for the medical outreach.
Meanwhile, the leader of the medical team, Dr Umar Ahmed, praised Senator Ipinsagba’s tireless efforts in giving back to his senatorial district.
“Gentlemen, esteemed guests, and fellow citizens of Ondo North Senatorial District, I am honoured to stand before you today to highlight the remarkable strides we have made in providing quality ophthalmological services to our people.
“Thanks to the tireless efforts of Senator Jide Ipinsagba, we have been able to facilitate life-changing eye surgeries and treatments at Owo General Hospital, Oka-Akoko, and Ikare-Akoko State Specialist Hospital. These interventions have not only restored vision to countless individuals but have also given them a new lease on life.
“Our ophthalmological services include cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, provision of reading glasses, and other treatments. We have assembled a team of highly skilled medical professionals dedicated to providing top-notch care to our patients.
“We recognise that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and we are committed to making it a reality for all our citizens. We will continue working tirelessly to equip our hospitals with state-of-the-art facilities and ensure our medical personnel receive the necessary training and support to excel,” he added.
