Traders in Akure metropolis on Wednesday observed the annual Amole festival, leading to the closure of businesses across the city.

During a visit by The Hope to various parts of Ondo State’s capital, shops were found locked as part of the festivities.

This followed an announcement by the Deji of Akure on Tuesday, ordering the closure of all markets in the city to honour the age-old tradition.
