Shun backbiting, Akanbiemu charges workers

Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Francis Akanbiemu has admonished the staff of the Agency to be patriotic, work effectively and be prayerful as they journey into the new year.
Akanbiemu who spoke during a prayer session to usher in the new year in Akure stressed the need for commitment to God noting that no power superseded that of God.
While charging them to pray for their leaders, Akanbiemu advised them to avoid all forms of mutiny, backbiting and carefree attitude saying power belongs to God and he gives to whoever he wishes.
He expressed appreciation to the workers for their commitment especially their concerted roles in the ongoing COVID-19 mass vaccination, assuring them that the management of the Agency will continue to do the needful in providing conducive working environment for them.
The Permanent Secretary also thanked the Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN for giving priority to workers in the state despite dwindling economic fortunes and urged the staff of the Agency to reciprocate the gestures by re-dedicating themselves to service.
In his homily, Director Laboratory Services of the Agency, Pastor Israel Adeyemi, charged workers to make up their minds not to remain on a spot this year.
Pastor Adeyemi who took his anchor passage from Psalm 30:5,10-12, with a theme “Going strong in our place of work” asked workers to grow physically and spiritually.
He also advised the staff to cultivate the habit of prayers for co-workers, subordinates and bosses noting that God still answers the prayers of His people.
The prayer session was rounded off with prayers for Nigeria, Ondo State government, management and staff of the Agency.
