Over six teams will compete for honour at one day five aside Easter Hockey Carnival competition.
The competition will dunk off next week Thursday April 6 at the Ondo State Sports complex,Akure.
The head coach of Ondo State Hockey, Mr Mark Oloruntola in a chat with Sporting Hope in Akure, disclosed that the Easter competition was part of activities to prepare the players ahead of the under 17, 21 competitions and South West Endifans tourney championship schedule to hold later in the year.
Oloruntola explained that U21 competition will be held in Portharcourt, while the National League is slated for Abuja and Ilorin will host U -17 youth games, saying host of the South West Endifans tourney will be announced later.
The coach noted that the competition will also create an avenue to unravel budding talents for the state in Hockey.
He added that there will be an exhibition match between Hockey’s veterans and Aquinas team.
