Skit-making becoming a big industry, says Crazeclown
Renowned skit maker Emmanuel Iwueke, popularly known as Crazeclown, has expressed his enthusiasm about the industry’s significant growth.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, Crazeclown discussed the evolution of skit-making over the years.
He highlighted that initially, people underestimated the industry, viewing it as merely entertainment.
However, Crazeclown emphasised that engaging content requires substantial effort, creativity, time, and intellectual capacity.
“I just love that Skit-making is becoming a big industry now. People used to look down on the content industry because they feel like this is just people having fun online but this is me saying, that it takes a lot of work, creativity, a lot of time, and a lot of intellectual capacity for you to keep creating, being consistent, evolving. I’m seeing people from skit-making doing music, movies, and doing shows,” he said.
Crazeclown’s success story began in 2014 with his short skits on Instagram and YouTube, alongside OG Tega.
Their comedic portrayal of an exaggerated parent-son relationship in Nigeria, characterised by dramatic slaps, gained massive popularity.
