A former National Vice Chairman (South-West) of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Eddy Olafeso, has called on the aggrieved members of the party to sheathe their swords and embrace unity for the party to move forward.
The PDP in the South-West has been engulfed in leadership crisis in recent time.
The development had led to a division in the party, with the emergence of two factions , one loyal to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; while the second is loyal to a former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
Olafeso reiterated that peace and unity remained the solution to the crisis facing the main opposition party in the South-West.
He stated this in Ile-Oluji, the headquarters of the Ile-Oluji/Oke Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State during ICT training for youths of Ondo South Senatorial District.
He said, “I have been known for my position in politics for so long; we must be united, nobody wins alone. If anybody is making a mistake, we have to correct him.
“I am not going to use the media to challenge my colleagues; I am going to appeal to all that it is a privilege to be voted for. I have lost serially in politics but I still love everybody. The earlier we all come together, the better”.
