Speaker mourns Assembly Corps member

The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Mr Timothy Owoeye has expressed sadness over the death of a serving Corps member, Ayomikun Ademorayo, who died after she allegedly applied the popular insecticide, Sniper, to her hair.

In a press statement personally signed by the speaker, a copy which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo, he expressed sadness over the untimely death of the corps member.

The Speaker also commiserated with the family and friends of the deceased, the management of National Youth Service Corps, her colleagues at the State House of Assembly and the Osun State Government.

“The death of Miss Ayomikun was very painful and quite unfortunate, I pray that the Almighty God grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss” he said.

He later used the opportunity to condemn the indiscriminate sales of Sniper and called on relevant government agencies to put serious measures in place to avoid the continued abuse of the deadly substance.

Until her death, late Ayomikun was serving with the Technical Department of the State House of Assembly.
