Ondo State  Head of Service and the proprietor of Accord Academy, Akure, Mr Toyin Akiinkuotu has declared sports as a unifying factor in all human endavours.

     He stated this during the first Bi-ennial inter -house sports of Accord Academy.

Akinkuotu  described the event as fantastic and historic in the life of the school competition.

He advised parents and students to see sports for what it is, emphasized that Sports is a symbol of love, unity and greatest source of happiness .

According to him, “we are happy and I can see happiness in the faces of our invited guests and parents, our people love sports, so we are advising the government to encourage sports at all level.

The principal of the school,  Mr Bodunwa Babs Michael, said the inter- house sports afford some of the kids to show case their God given talents .

He added that  parents should encourage their wards to be the best in whatever they do.

According to the head teacher of the school, Mrs Wahab Abimbola Bankole, “I’m happy for this epoch making event in our school”.

Yellow House tagged Tai Solarin emerged overall winner of the inter-house sports with (916 points), while the Blue House tagged Obafemi Awolowo House scored (882 points) to emerge second runner -up , Wole Soyinka Green House and Red House Funmilayo Ransome Kuti Scored 808 and 738 to emerge 3rd and 4th position respectively.

Oyemekun Grammar School came first in the inter school race in boys category while Baptist High School made first position in girls category.

Basic Model Academy came first in the primary school girls category while Millennium Primary School won the first position in the Boys category.

Trophy and medals were later presented to the winners of different categories .
