The Osun State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for officially flagging off the remodelling of the Osogbo Township Stadium.

In a statement signed on Tuesday by SWAN Chairman, Timothy Agbor, and Assistant Secretary, Segun Fadoro, the association described the development as a testament to the governor’s commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure in the state.

The association noted that the project would bolster the state’s sports culture by creating an improved platform for developing talent and hosting high-profile events.

“We are confident this initiative will elevate the state’s sports sector to new heights,” the statement read.

SWAN also called on the contractor to ensure the project is executed with the highest quality and completed within the stipulated one-year timeframe.

The association pledged to monitor the progress and provide full support to ensure the successful completion of the project.
