Zion FC scored quick two goals in the first half and  NPFL All -Stars pulled one back before the interval, in the entertainment encounter.

The second half of the encounter recorded no further goal as the Zion FC went home with three points.

It was a display of football artistry from both sides.

The head coach of Zion FC, Rafiu Oseni in a chat with newsmen said he improved on their previous match where they lost to OSOPADEC FC.  He added that his side committed some blunders in the match, saying he had worked on the area of his team’s weakness.

According to him, “both teams played very good football, our opponent gave us a good fight, but technically we got a better side of them. In our next match, I would start the match with attacking football from the blast of the referee to the end.”

On his part , NPFL All – Stars Team manager, Tope Alasoadura said his side lost the game due injuries, expressing optimism that they will turn the table positively in their next match.

Aso FC had earlier defeated Emalex FC 2-0 in the match day three to qualify for the final of the competition. While Ekimogun FC played 1-1 draw against Able God FC.

It was the Aso FC second win of the competition having beaten Able God FC, Ondo 1-0 in their first encounter.

Meanwhile, there is all to play for, to grab the runners-up spot in Group A. With a game left, Ekimogun FC, Ondo are in pole position with two points.

The soccer competition involving clubs in the three senatorial districts of Ondo State will climax on Sunday.
