Also, the owner was said to have reported the case at the Nigerian police post, Alade.
He was said to have been challenged by some members of the Okada riders union who had the knowledge of the stolen motorcycle.
Having arrested Olatuja at Oke Mapo, at Alade, the irate mob reportedly stripped him naked and gave him the beating of his life.
It took the intervention of the men of the Nigerian police, Alade Division, that saved him from being lynched.
The Divisional Police Officer of Alade police post, was not available as at the time The Hope Metro visited the station.
But a police source who confirmed the report, said another motorcycle allegedly stolen by the same suspect had been detected and retrieved from the person who bought it from him.
