Students of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa have been urged to be security conscious and vigilant at all times and report any suspicious activities to the security department.
Speaking with our correspondent in Okitipupa on the security challenges facing the students of the University, the Students Union President, Olumide Faluyi said his attention was drawn to various forms of extortion and intimidation of students by some uncanny individuals.
He, therefore, advised the students to promote peace through virtue and refrain from committing crimes that disrupt academic pursuit, as their welfare remains a priority.
In his solidarity greetings, Faluyi appreciated the students for their continuous support and appealed that all hands should be on deck as it is only through collective effort that progress can be actualized.
He also used the medium to inform the students that school officially resumed on Tuesday 3rd of January 2023, while the lecture commences on Monday 9th of January 2023.
“I, therefore enjoin all students to resume fully and on time to adjust and be well-prepared for the semester’s academic activity,” he said.
